Of all the sectors in commerce, hospitality and travel probably took the worst hit during the lockdowns. Even the ‘Eat out to help out’ scheme was not without its winners and losers and critics!
How have we survived?
Here at London hotels group, we have reinvented ourselves and worked with the local authorities and the NHS to offer accommodation wherever needed. We worked with Crisis and Streets Kitchen to provide assistance wherever we could participate in the local community. Our staff have worked tirelessly to help keep the hotels clean and safe. We installed special air filtration in each room so that the virus could not spread through the air conditioning system. We explained more in this blog
What’s the next stage?
The 17th of May marks the next phase of the lifting of lockdown. The Bars and Restaurants have already seen you start to return and boost the hospitality trade. Now we get to stay overnight and eat indoors in groups of six. Having a meal and a drink together will be a welcome activity after so long apart. Hotels are opening their doors and restaurants again. The appeal of London and all she has to offer is bound to have you wanting to find good quality, clean, covid safe accommodation for your stay. Theatres and cinemas are opening up too, along with the museums and galleries
How will hospitality bounce back?
LHG didn’t stand still during the lockdown, and with these new freedoms, we shall be welcoming you back. Our restaurants, bars, and gyms will be open, and our rooms ready for you to stay. We have now created ‘aparthotels’, these are upgraded rooms with kitchen facilities to allow you to stay longer. Make a weekend break a longer stay and spent more time in London. Now we all know how to work from home, work from a hotel is just as easy, whilst still enjoying the sights!
